Nicholas Shaitanoff

Nicholas Shaitanoff serves as co-founder and vice president of Lift Up Learners, Inc. He grew up on Long Island attending the Long Island School for the Gifted before moving to Sarasota in 2022 to attend Pine View School. 

Nick is a member of the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and the Junior National Honor Society. He has received the Presidential Outstanding Academic Excellence Award and earned honors in math competitions, including twice making the American Math Competition 8 Honor Roll and placing 18th nationwide in the Kangaroo Math Competition.

He helped lead his Pine View Mathcounts team to first place in the district two years running and qualified for the state competition. Nick also placed third individually at the district level in 2025. His athletic background includes competitive gymnastics and swimming before focusing on rowing with Sarasota Crew, where he earned the Scholar Athlete Award. Nick volunteers with Sarasota youth groups like Teen Court and enjoys playing piano and saxophone, reading, playing chess, and is bilingual. He lives with two brothers, a sister, and two dogs.
